Erdath calls out to Black Flame in his mind, "Let us burn these creatures of death." He charges forward and lets a bolt of lightning fly at one and swings Black Flame at the other.

Hrrd cannot believe his luck. A DRAGON! Well, good or bad he still needs to get at some air pretty soon so he heads as fast as he can swim toward the shore closest to the building. He will take a quick look around first to see if there might be any smaller underwater entrances first.

He doesn't have any shame over his personal thoughts, but wonders if Mjolnir can hear him at all times.
Can you help me against this dragon in some way?

Sorry,
Harwan is trying to escape the grapple of the undead so he can dispose of them with his sword.

Seeing as his staff proves pretty damned useless, Karl will try something else. He is going to attempt to trip up the golem so it crashes to the ground. That's the only thing he can think of at the moment and attempts it.

For the first time, Hrrd realizes he is not caught in a larger body of water,
but some sort of narrow tube... Like a fountain, or a draw well...

Still, the water around him is thick and dirty,
and more feels the walls than he actually sees through to them...

Luckily, there seems to enough room for him AND the dragon's big head, and with a few strokes of his arms,
the bearman can manage to stay out of the dragon's vantage point...

RizaktheReallyHorrible wrote:

Again, many, many voices shout yell and cry to Hrrd,
and the bearman's head fills with the pleas of the damned...

Even in the water, Hrrd can feel his arms and legs getting colder,
as the spirits of the dead beg him to set them free...

[Hrrd is confused for the moment; while he can move normally,
he cannot cast any spells or talk to Bravous as long as he hears the voices...]

Tolleen, realizing that Audi is still unarmed, will offer him her masterwork club for the time being as she continues to chip away with her axe.

Audi already got a sword from Erdath, so that will not be necessary,
at least not now, in the heat of battle.

tarlyn wrote:

Audi and Karl fight shoulder to shoulder, and, though Karl's attempt to stop the golem fails,
their combined effort manages to push the monster against one of its snake-headed brethren.

Their moves more mechanical than acts of working minds,
they inflect themselves deep wounds before they find their balance again...

Time enough for Gawaine, who has noticed Karl's desperate situation, to attack the living statues from behind...

But even though this might seem like you have gained a momentary advantage,
all of the six golems still remain intact, and show no intent of stopping their attack...

Sheridan wrote:
Upon realizing Sven's predicament, Tolleen calls to rally the Company's forces to Sven's defense. Tolleen races at Ungulian with her axe, in an attempt to draw his attack away from Sven.

Both Gothmog and Gawaine turn around in obvious shock,
but Tolleen is indeed the one who can attack the fastet.

- But to no avail; Ungulian, a mocking, pityful grin on his face, turns around and blocks her
axe without effort.

He is so quick that Tolleen is sure she would have been done for, but then...

Gothmog's flagpole rushes through the room and hits Ungulian on the chest,
taking the mad baron with it as if was light as a feather...

Both Ungulian and the flagpole crash through one of the windows of mosaic glass,
and fall out of sight...

Now disarmed, Gothmog continues to beat the stone golems with his bare hands,
but you can see how he is already suffering from their sharp weapons...

Fighting is useless!
The witch! Kill the witch!

More with the passion of a friend, than with the skill of a warrior,
Erdath storms forward to save Sergeant Harwan...

Momentarily blinded by the flash of his own lightning,
and deafened by the yelling of Black Flame in his mind,
the elf does not see the damage he causes...

When his senses clear, however, no zombie stands around him any more,
and small flames spark from the curtains around him where the lightnings hit them...

And Harwan is nowhere to be seen.

The undead on the ground, however, are still filled with perverse necromantic energies,
and twist and his as they try to get up on their shattered, broken and burned links...

Striking and kicking the undead wildly with his hands, Harwan manages to wrestle himself free, and can push himself to his feet...

... Only to loose half of his long blond mustage to one of Erdath's errand strikes...

Stunned, the warrior stumbles backwards again, and falls over another body, and through
a slid in the curtain...

The hall Harwan ungraciously falls into is circular, several stairways leading upwards.

Like in the other rooms, dead bodies - this time mostly Afridhi, spiked with Elven arrows.
>From the levels upstairs, sounds of a wild fight.

Clouds of a dark, powder-like matter float through the room
and make it impossible for Harwan to see far, but this he sees:

A giant black dragon, covered and covered with dozens of wounds,
some deep to the bones, cowers over what appears to be a hole in the ground,
marked by a crystalline white ring of four or five meters of diameter.
The dragon's head, down in hole, waves of grey water swapping over the
ring's edges, burning the soil where they touch it...

Over the dragon, the skin and the clothes shinning green like a beryl in candlelight,
the spectre of a ragged young girl.

My servant, my slave!
What oblation do you bring me?

[Will save, please. If you fail, you panic.]

Erdath pokes his head back through the curtain, "Hurry we must get through before more undead rise!!" He then turns back and tries to find where Harwan has gone. He moves over to where he was last seen and tries to see what he can find.

[I got 14]

I guess Harwan flees in terror?

Bobby manages to carry Dirken safely on his back, and about a minute after,
they manage to climb on a the small balcony under the broken window where Gawaine
and Gorileth broke through earlier...

Behind it, stars, and two empty rooms, with blood stains on the walls...

A decapitated warrior lies next to the stairs, cled in the wooden armor of the dark elves...

The head is missing, however...

Just as he takes a last look downwards, to see what his other friends are doing,
Dirken sees Ungulian crash out of the door and land on the stone stairs to the palace...

The baron would be in the distance of either your grenades or your crossbow,
but with that, you would maybe damage Mant's corpse as well...

havard wrote:

I'd liked you to play that out. Wink

Stunned more by the sight of the girl ghost than by the the dragon,
Harwan tries to crawl back behind the curtain,
but stumbles twice...

Finally, as the sergeant looks back in terror,
a long and loud cry escapes him...

Everyone among you can hear Harwan, even Hrrd and Dirken.

The Maiden ascends higher into the air, her shrill voice full of anger now:

WHAT OBATION DO YOU BRING ME, SLAVE?!

At a waving of her hand, the dragon raises his head from the water bassin...

Down in the Well, Hrrd can see how the dragon's head abruptly halts and moves upward, a sudden change in the stream pulling him with it...

...And Harwan will shout again, this time more of surprise than of fear...

djaykix wrote:
"Hurry we must get through before more undead rise!!"

The cry tells Erdath where Harwan might have gone...

And as the the elf sticks looks through the slit, he sees the Maiden
[whose infernal voice he might already have recognized] and her dragon?

Erdath, too, will stumble back in shock, but not because of fear, but of mere astonishment:

First, the dragon over the Well is no unknown to him. He has seen it more than once already,
and even travelled on his back.

It's Black Wing, Draussa's dragon who had abandoned the party when they were fighting
in Silverbell!

Second...

Half of Black Wing's face has been burned away through magic fire.
The dragon's head is half a skull, and half compsed of rotten flesh,
as it rises over you and opens its mouth for a mute roar...

The wounds on the dragon's body are old, and do not bleed any more.
Wyrms and other vermin pour from them...

Deep cuts on the dragon's chest lead down to its bones...

And all that remains of his once so mighty wings are bloody-brown stumps on his back...

Wow, that is one gruesome monster!

Not sure how rational Harwan's mind is right now, but he has been a military man all his life, and perhaps some of that training imprintet in his instincts work. If so, he will try to get away from the Maiden (ofcourse), but he also doesn't want to get back to those undead. Dragons mean one thing for a soldier: Find cover for Dragon Breath! Is there anything (hopefully) acid proof he can dive behind while getting away from all of his enemies? "Dragon alert!" He tries to scream.

Karl remains flustered at his inability to help. Then he remembers a spell he could cast to perhaps help their cause.
Concentrating, he begins chanting and gesturing. When done, all plants and vines in the area come to his aid.

Okay. Casting entangle, but focusing it on the golems only, if possible, Rafael. I think it
might give us a bit of respite, because we aren't having much luck as it is! That's not counting the Dragon we have
to deal with!

Hrrd will do whatever he can to stay ahead of this awesome creature and try to find a way back to the group. He knows that they were headed into that building and trying to find the well. Taking the time to try to fight now will only make him miss the opportunity to help out in this time of dire need.

[OOC: I am not sure where Sven is anymore. I think he was wounded and fighting
the golems or was it Ungulian?]

Sven will caste a CMW spell to heal his injuries while fighting defensively, until he
can get his bearings again. Then he will resume the offensive against whatever
foe is around him at the moment.
